- Valid driving licence for Heavy Motor Vehicles on the closing date (a learner's licence is not accepted)
- Able to drive heavy vehicles with confidence and know vehicle maintenance

- Physical Endurance & Measurement Test and document verification by Delhi Police
- Trade (driving) test by Delhi Police (qualifying)
- Medical examination of the recommended candidates
