The Delhi Police Constable (Executive) examination is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission for Delhi Police under a memorandum of understanding between the two. The 2025 cycle recruits Constable (Executive) men and women, with separate male vacancies for ex-servicemen, including ex-servicemen with commando backgrounds. Candidates from all parts of India can apply, and the post is in Pay Level-3 (₹21,700 – ₹69,100), Group 'C'.
SSC runs the application and a 100-mark computer-based examination; Delhi Police then holds a qualifying physical endurance and measurement test (PE&MT) in Delhi, verifies documents and arranges a medical examination. The final result is declared by SSC on computer-based exam marks, plus any NCC or Rashtriya Raksha University bonus, for candidates who clear the PE&MT and other conditions.
This guide covers what the 2025 notice and SSC's later notices print: the original and revised vacancies, the age and education rules, the exam pattern and qualifying marks, the race, jump and height standards, medical and tattoo rules, the CBE shortlisting result, the application steps and the documents you will need.
Delhi Police Constable 2025 vacancies: revised category-wise table
The notice listed 7,565 vacancies. The revised figures include backlog vacancies, shown in the table.
Ten percent of the vacancies in each category of male constables are reserved for ex-servicemen, and half of that quota is for ex-servicemen who served in Special Forces or NSG (Special Action Group), received a 'Qualified Instructor' grading in the commando course, or are Navy/Air Force personnel from commando-type units. CAPF personnel cannot apply as ex-servicemen.

Delhi Police Constable salary and classification
Constable (Executive) is in Pay Level-3 of the 7th Pay Commission matrix, ₹21,700 – ₹69,100 basic pay, and is a Group 'C' post. Allowances are paid on top as per government rules; the notice does not print an in-hand figure, so none is shown here.
The post is not identified as suitable for persons with benchmark disabilities, so there is no PwBD category in this examination.
Age limit, relaxation and qualification in detail
Age is counted on 1 July 2025. You must be 18–25 years old, that is, born between 2 July 2000 and 1 July 2007. Only Indian citizens can apply.

Male candidates must hold a valid LMV driving licence (motorcycle or car) on the date of the PE&MT; a learner licence is not accepted.
Wards of Delhi Police personnel who also belong to SC, ST, OBC or hill-area categories cannot take double relaxation; they choose one. Relaxations for wards apply only if the parent was not dismissed, removed, terminated or compulsorily retired as a penalty.

Physical endurance and measurement test (PE&MT)
The PE&MT is held by Delhi Police in Delhi and is qualifying only. You first run 1,600 metres; only those who pass the race go on to the long jump and then the high jump, each with three chances. There is no appeal against disqualification in the race or jumps. The physical measurement is taken only of candidates who pass the endurance test.
Women who are pregnant, have recently delivered or had a miscarriage at the time of the PE&MT are declared temporarily unfit; their vacancy is kept in reserve and they are re-tested six weeks after the confinement period (six months after delivery, 45 days after a miscarriage) with a fitness certificate.
If you are declared not qualified in height or chest, you may appeal the same day to the appellate authority through the presiding officer; that decision is final.

To be shortlisted for the PE&MT you must score at least 35 marks (Unreserved), 30 (SC, ST, OBC, EWS) or 25 (ex-servicemen) out of 100 in the computer-based exam, on normalised marks. Candidates are shortlisted category-wise on merit, about 12 times the number of vacancies.
Marks from multiple shifts are normalised using SSC's formula of 2 June 2025. The provisional select list is made separately for men and women in each category on the basis of computer-based exam marks. A reserve panel of 15% is prepared and kept by Delhi Police in a sealed cover.
In the 2025 cycle, SSC's result of 19 June 2026 shortlisted candidates for the PE&MT/DV. The marks of the last shortlisted candidate in each category, as printed in that result, are shown below. Bonus marks for NCC and RRU certificates are added only in the final result, for candidates who produce the certificates at the PE&MT/DV.
