Computer-based exam pattern
The computer-based exam is a single objective paper of 100 multiple-choice questions for 100 marks in 90 minutes, set in Hindi and English only. Each wrong answer costs 0.25 marks. Scores from multiple shifts are normalised. No scribe is provided to PwBD candidates.
Candidates up to 20 times the vacancies in each category are called for the PE&MT. The minimum qualifying marks are 40% for General/EWS, 35% for SC/ST/OBC and 30% for PwBD and ex-servicemen; SSC may lower these if not enough candidates qualify.
