SEBI Grade A Notification 2025: Recruitment, Vacancy, Dates, Fee and How to Apply

Vacancies: 135 after the addendum of 14 November 2025 (originally 110): General 77, Legal 20, Information Technology 22, Research 8, Official Language 3, Engineering (Electrical) 2, Engineering (Civil) 3. PwBD vacancies are horizontal and included in these totals.

• Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) in seven streams
• Pay scale ₹62,500 – 3,600 (4) – 76,900 – 4,050 (7) – 1,05,250 – EB – 4,050 (4) – 1,21,450 – 4,650 (1) – 1,26,100 (17 years)
• Gross emoluments at the minimum of the scale in Mumbai: approx. ₹1,84,000 per month without accommodation, ₹1,43,000 per month with accommodation

Age limit: Not more than 30 years (born on or after 1 October 1995) (as on 30 September 2025).

• General: Master's Degree / Post Graduate Diploma (minimum two years' duration) in any discipline, or Bachelor's Degree in Law, or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or Chartered Accountant / Chartered Financial Analyst / Company Secretary / Cost Accountant
• Legal: Bachelor's Degree in Law (two years' post-qualification experience as an Advocate is desirable)
• Information Technology: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in any branch, or a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a post-graduate qualification (minimum two years) in Computer Science / Computer Applications / IT
• Research: Master's Degree / PG Diploma (minimum two years) in Economics, Finance, Statistics or a closely related field as listed, or a Master's in Mathematics with a one-year PG Diploma in Statistics
• Official Language: Master's in Hindi / Hindi Translation with English at Bachelor's level, or other Master's–Bachelor's combinations of Hindi and English as listed
• Engineering (Electrical): Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering; Engineering (Civil): Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

₹1,000 + 18% GST (Unreserved/OBC/EWS, application fee cum intimation charges); ₹100 + 18% GST (SC/ST/PwBD, intimation charges)

No category is fully exempt; SC, ST and PwBD candidates pay only the ₹100 intimation charges plus GST. Payment is online only, and a separate fee is paid for each stream applied for.

1. Phase I: online screening exam of two papers (marks used only to shortlist for Phase II)
2. Phase II: online exam of two papers (Paper 1 English descriptive, Paper 2 stream-specific)
3. Phase III: interview, for candidates equal to 3 times the vacancies, in order of merit

   Register on sebi.gov.in

   Go to www.sebi.gov.in > Careers > APPLY ONLINE and choose 'CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION'. For the 2025 exercise the window was 30 October to 28 November 2025. Note the provisional registration number and password.

   Pick up to two streams

   You may apply in a maximum of 2 streams for which you are eligible, with a separate application and fee for each.

   Upload photo, signature, thumb impression and declaration

   JPG/JPEG files: photograph 20–50 KB (200 × 230 px preferred); signature in black ink 10–20 KB (140 × 60 px); left thumb impression 20–50 KB (240 × 240 px, 200 DPI); hand-written English declaration in black ink 50–100 KB (800 × 400 px, 200 DPI), not in capital letters. A live photo is also captured by webcam or mobile.

   Check the preview and complete registration

   Use 'SAVE AND NEXT' to save and edit, check every detail in 'Preview' before 'COMPLETE REGISTRATION'. No change is allowed after final submission.

5. 5

   Pay the fee online

   ₹1,000 + 18% GST for Unreserved, OBC and EWS candidates; ₹100 + 18% GST (intimation charges) for SC, ST and PwBD candidates. Then click 'SUBMIT' and keep a printout of the application and e-receipt.
