Educational qualification
- Technical Assistant: three-year diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, first class
- Technician 'B' / Draughtsman 'B': SSLC/SSC pass plus ITI/NTC/NAC in the trade from NCVT
- Fireman 'A': SSLC/SSC pass and prescribed physical fitness and PET standards

Application fee
Technical Assistant: Rs 750 (Rs 500 refunded to non-exempt candidates). Technician 'B', Draughtsman 'B', Fireman 'A': Rs 500 (Rs 400 refunded). Refunds only to candidates who appear in the written test.. Female, SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates get a full refund.

Age limit and relaxation
Age is counted on 4 September 2026. The limit is 18–35 years for posts 813 to 817 and 18–25 years for Fireman 'A'.
SC/ST candidates get 5 years and OBC candidates 3 years of upper age relaxation for posts reserved for them; this does not apply to UR posts. Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, departmental candidates, meritorious sportspersons and certain widowed, divorced or judicially separated women get relaxation as per Government of India orders.
