Qualifying marks, shortlisting and tie-break
To be shortlisted for the PE&MT you must score at least 35 marks (Unreserved), 30 (SC, ST, OBC, EWS) or 25 (ex-servicemen) out of 100 in the computer-based exam, on normalised marks. Candidates are shortlisted category-wise on merit, about 12 times the number of vacancies.
Marks from multiple shifts are normalised using SSC's formula of 2 June 2025. The provisional select list is made separately for men and women in each category on the basis of computer-based exam marks. A reserve panel of 15% is prepared and kept by Delhi Police in a sealed cover.
In the 2025 cycle, SSC's result of 19 June 2026 shortlisted candidates for the PE&MT/DV. The marks of the last shortlisted candidate in each category, as printed in that result, are shown below. Bonus marks for NCC and RRU certificates are added only in the final result, for candidates who produce the certificates at the PE&MT/DV.
